introduction, approach, and practical tools. (interactive notes are draggable!)

👋 hey, i'm vertility!

I'm Vertility. I enjoy programming, exploring systems, recreating existing software and plugin functionality, and building practical tools.

My primary development work focuses on Minecraft plugin recreations, backend architectures in Go and Rust, and clean web tools. Rather than simply using tools, I enjoy taking them apart, understanding the underlying system and event loop, and reconstructing the mechanics with clean, robust code.

plugin recreations backend systems web development systems programming practical tooling linux & networking

what i build

I develop Minecraft plugin recreations, high-performance backends in Go and Rust, and practical web applications with TypeScript.

engineering approach

I believe in understanding systems from the ground up. Recreating existing software helps uncover elegant solutions and solid patterns.

systems & networking

I enjoy exploring Linux internals, networking with eBPF/XDP, and configuring resilient infrastructure with Docker, Nginx, and HAProxy.

tools & workflow

Reliable databases with PostgreSQL and Redis, metrics via Prometheus, and automated workflows on Linux systems.

plugin recreations

Independent reimplementations of known plugin mechanics — not original author

software & web projects

Original backend tools, web applications, and infrastructure systems

recreated project · java & spigot api

An independent recreation of the competitive survival Ranked SMP plugin mechanics.

functionality reimplemented

Recreated the competitive ranking algorithms, Elo-based player progression, match state machine, and real-time leaderboard rendering on Minecraft servers.

recreation notice

This is a personal recreation and clean-room reimplementation. Vertility is not the original author of the Ranked SMP concept.

Plugin Recreation Java Spigot API Competitive

recreated project · java & spigot api

An independent recreation of the Money SMP economy-driven survival gameplay systems.

functionality reimplemented

Implemented robust economy transactions, currency serialization, interactive shop menus, dynamic price adjusters, and money-based player progression loops.

recreation notice

This is a personal recreation built to study and replicate the economy mechanics. Vertility is not the original author of Money SMP.

Plugin Recreation Java Spigot API Economy

recreated project · java & spigot api

An independent recreation of the custom Triple Spear projectile and combat mechanics.

functionality reimplemented

Custom item initialization, 3-way trajectory vector calculations, ray-traced collision detection, and server-side event management for custom combat weapon effects.

recreation notice

This is a standalone recreation of the spear combat mechanics. Vertility is not the original designer of the mechanic.
